It’s been seen in English, Welsh and Gaelic….and as from September 2014 it will be available in British Sign Language! We are delighted to be involved in this major development for the witty and surprising show.  It’ll feature Jim Fish as a somewhat bemused actor, and is directed by Dave Smith, assisted by Kinny Gardner. It’s a Happy New Year indeed!

We are delighted to have set up our new SHOW page, with information on our next extravaganza, and a hefty list of bookings. Lots of opportunities to see our new adaptation of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, lovingly crafted by the company in close conjunction with our dramaturge Dr. Stephen Wyatt. And what a company! Not only do we have wonderful Chris de Wilde designing, and super Scott Brooker creating the puppet figures, we are also welcoming back one of our favourite Krazy Kat actresses, the amazing Alison Neil. Alison was our original ‘Goldilocks’ and re joins the company after  touring  her internationally acclaimed solo works. Boy are we lucky to get her for our extensive U.K. tour of some ‘dreaming’… All in all, it’s shaping up to be a very happy new year indeed!

1,2,3 Little Pigs scurry off on tour

After a sold- out triumph at Emporium in Brighton, our first public Brighton gig in eleven whole years, we are now on the road with ‘1,2,3 Little Pigs’ until December 21st. A whirlwind dash around the UK may well be bringing us to your locality so do check out the dates and venues on THE SHOWS page, and if we are near you then come and give us an “oink”!

Associate Artist Gareth Davids joins the Kats in rehearsal

We are so pleased to announce our new Associate Deaf Artist for 2013-14  made possible with funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. Gareth is a versatile theatre performer, with a strong physical style informed by his deafness. He has appeared in three showcases as part of his studies at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and has had an enviable career in mainstream theatre in the short time since he left. He has puppetry, dance and mime skills, speaks Welsh and English, and his first language is BSL. He’ll be with us for some rehearsals, some performances on the road, and he’ll be visiting the office for a few training days. If you see him, do say “Yachi Dah”…

From One Pig Edmund to Three Pigs Little…

After a sold out, rip-roaring success with Edmund the Learned Pig at The Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester, in cahoots with Fittings Multimedia, we are now embarking on ‘1,2,3 Little Pigs’. Rehearsing at the lovely ‘Pleasance’ in London, we tour out from 17th November, starting at the beautiful Brighton Emporium. Of Edmund, the press said :‘a heady mixture of slap-stick, cabaret, puppetry, story-telling and drama. It is funny, no doubt about it, but it’s also as mad as a bag of frogs… the madcap approach really works, the show holds together in an adorably eccentric fashion… a really fun night out.’ The Good Review. What will they say about the Littler Piggies? Watch this space…and come and see us!
